What we collect
- Account data: username, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash), language and the account type you choose.
- Advertiser data: the listing content you publish, and, where we verify an advertiser, identity documents that only our reviewers can see and that are never shown on the site.
- Payments: a reference and the status of a payment. Card numbers are handled by the payment provider and never reach us.
- Use of the site: pages visited, the device and browser type, an approximate location from the IP address and security logs.
- Messages: chat messages you send through the site, so that they can be delivered and so that abuse can be handled.
Why we use it
To run the site and your account, to show listings and results, to review content and keep the site safe, to take payments, to answer you, to improve the site, and to meet legal duties. We do not sell your personal data.
Who sees it
Listing content is public. Our staff see what they need to do their work. Service providers process data for us under contract: hosting, email delivery, payments, automatic translation of listing text (the text of the listing only, never account data) and analytics. We disclose data to the authorities when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while the account exists and for a short time after it is deleted, so that a mistake can be undone and abuse can be handled. Records we must keep by law, such as payment records, are kept for the period the law sets. Security logs are kept for a limited time.

Your choices
You can see and edit your account data in your account settings, and delete your account there. Depending on where you live you may also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to restrict or object to its use, or to complain to your data protection authority. Use the contact page for any request.
Security
We protect data with access controls, encrypted connections and logging. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you think your account was used by someone else.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we say so on the site.
